Beer Can Chicken

Ingredients
Whole Chicken
Kosmos Dirty Bird Seasoning
Kosmos Garlic Garlic Seasoning
Black Pepper
Olive Oil
Preparation
Whole Chicken:
Rinse and pat dry
Olive Oil:
Cover the entire chicken in olive oil. The oil acts as a binder for the seasoning
Seasoning:
Generously coat the chicken with Kosmos Dirty Bird Seasoning. Pat it into the chicken, covering the top and inside.
Add a minimal amount of Kosmos Garlic Garlic seasoning and black pepper to the top and inside of the chicken.
Turn the chicken over and apply Kosmos Dirty Bird Seasoning generously to the other side. Add Garlic Garlic and pepper.
Beer Can Placement:
Use any beer of your choice (e.g., Coors Light). You only need about ½ of the beer for smoking the chicken.
Place the beer can inside the "butt" of the chicken so it sits on the can.
Cooking Instructions
Traeger 1080 Pro or smoker of your choice
Traeger hickory pellets
Set temperature to 225℉ and smoke for 2 hours
Turn the heat up to 350℉ and finish for 1 hour
